Site Redesign
I’ve given the old web site a bit of a makeover as I was getting really bored with the old one.
I like this new version, as it gives me much more scope to expand. Not that I can think of much else to put up at the moment, but it will be nice to expand out the projects section to give more information of past, present and future projects. I can’t think of what to do with the home page either, so the ‘Home’ and ‘Journal’ menu options currently do the same thing…
I’m still not 100% happy with it, but it’s a decent start for an evenings work…
I’ve also given the site a new moniker. I like the way blogs such as Josh’s ‘I find your lack of faith disturbing‘, Dave’s ‘Man Bytes Hollywood‘ and SystemAddict’s ‘Please Check Your Dignity at the Door‘ all seem to be that little bit cooler for having funky (non-blogger name oriented) titles.
So, no longer is this blog called ‘Andy Coughlan’s screenwriting and filmmaking blog*’, it is now…
‘My Next One Will Be Better.’
Yup, inspiration struck while reading through some quotes by Ed Wood, who once said, ‘Really? Worst film you ever saw. Well, my next one will be better. Hello. Hello.’
I have no idea why he said Hello twice at the end, but after some of the comments I got back from Secret Thoughts of Angels, I knew exactly where he was coming from…
Right, now on to some proper work.
Oh sod it, it’s time for bed already…
*I mean, it’s so 2004 – and who cares about Google anyway?!

About Andy Coughlan
I write stuff down and try to make films out of it. Sometimes I succeed.
I also write novels, like The Elementalist and code things, like Scribomatic, Brolly or Not? and Geeky Gifts.
Current projects: A short film, The Man Who Wished which I\'m also developing into a TV series.

David Anaxagoras says:
Never thought my blog title was anything special, but thanks for the mention.
I immediately recognized the source of your title and I love it. The quote, by the way, is from the film Ed Wood, and he’s talking to an exec on the phone…who hangs up on him. Thus: “Hello? Hello?”
Andy Coughlan says:
Ah, oh course! I remember it now – what a donut I am.
I was thrown by the incorrect punctuation, it should have been ‘Hello? Hello?’
I had visions of him being insulted while he meeted and greeted at some kind of reception or party…

I like the new look!
And Dave… Your blog IS VERY SPECIAL… It was the first blog I ever made a comment on.
